West Bengal Police Recruitment released a notification on the recruitment of warders and female warders in the department of correctional Govt. Of West Bengal, 2023. The last date of submission 26th August 2023.
Eligibility Criteria : -
1. Age : - The applicant must not be less than 18 (Eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2023. Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05(five) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes(ST) and by 03 (three) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Other Backward Classes (OBC) .The upper age limit is also relaxable for the Ex-Servicemen as per existing Government Rules. 10% of total vacancies are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections.
2. Educational Qualifications :- The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
3. Acquisition of Computer Literacy :- The candidate must have certificate of Computer Literacy issued by the recognized Institutions.
4. For the vacancies reserved under Sports Quota, only meritorious sports persons from the following discipline may apply :-
i) Athletics [including Track and Field events], ii) Badminton, iii) Basket Ball, iv) Cricket, v) Football, vi) Hockey, vii) Swimming, viii) Table Tennis, ix) Volley Ball, x) Tennis, xi) Weightlifting, xii) Wrestling, xiii) Boxing, xiv) Cycling, xv) Gymnastics, xvi) Judo, xvii) Riffle Shooting, xviii) Kabaddi and xix) Kho-kho.
Application Form must be submitted through on-line only during the period from 06.08.2023 (00:01 hrs.) to 26.08.2023 (23:59 hrs.) for which the link will be available in the websites of West Bengal Police (https://wbpolice.gov.in), West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (https://prb.wb.gov.in) and West Bengal Correctional Services (http://wbcorrectionalservices.gov.in).
Applicants are advised to read the ‘Information to Applicants’ before applying. An editing window will be available for the applicants want to edit/rectify their personal information already submitted in their Application Form for 07 (seven) days w.e.f. 29.08.2023 (00:01 hrs.) to 04.09.2023 (23:59 hrs.). To edit the personal information, the applicant will have to provide (i) His/ Her Application Sl. No. or Registered Mobile Number and (ii) Date of Birth (DOB) as entered in the Application. On providing these information, the applicant will get an OTP to their Mobile Number. On providing these information, the applicant will get an OTP to their Mobile Number. On successful verification of OTP the applicant will be allowed to edit his/her information (except permanent State). Applicants can change their category but change from non-paying category (SC & ST) to paying category (UR, EWS, OBC-A & OBC-B) [Application Fees] will not be allowed.
